Set on beautifully landscaped grounds, Emeritus at Myrtlewood Estates is considered one of Southern Texas’s premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities. Located off Texas-306 Loop E and Knickerbocker (towards the airport), our community offers 77 apartments on two floors. Here our residents – in many cases, with their pets – enjoy retirement living in our family-like environment. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services (Type B only), tailor-made to your needs. We’ve designed our services to focus on wellness, helping you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible.

Join Their Journey - Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia. Because your family’s experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We “join the journey” of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.

Our common areas – including our lovely dining room, TV room, library and activities center – give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including exercise programs and off-site excursions. Emeritus at Myrtlewood Estates is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, near Lake Nasworthy and directly behind the new Bank of San Angelo. Our community is also close to Community Medical Associates, Shannon Medical Center and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
