Welcome to our wonderful corner of Texas! Good Samaritan Society – White Acres is proud to be part of the bicultural El Paso community. When El Paso’s 700,000 residents are combined with the 1.5 million residents of its sister city – Juarez, Mexico – they form the largest border community in the world.

The center is located on a beautiful 23-acre campus on the west side of El Paso, close to shopping areas, medical facilities and the University of Texas at El Paso with its abundance of athletic, art and cultural programs. The university is home to Texas’ only NCAA basketball champion, the 1966 Texas Western Miners (now the University of Texas at El Paso), which was featured in the movie Glory Road.

Good Samaritan Society – White Acres is near the Rio Grande River just above the Rio Grande Valley with its magnificent sunsets, beautiful mountain colors and desert landscapes, which remind many residents of the glory of God on a daily basis. We have been part of the El Paso community since 1983 and are El Paso’s only Christian, not-for-profit, continuing care retirement community serving people of all faiths and beliefs.

In 1983, Good Samaritan Society – White Acres opened its 60-bed skilled nursing center, along with the 101 senior living apartments. In 2000, the assisted living center with 24 one-bedroom apartments was opened. Today, Good Samaritan Society – White Acres employs more than 100 employees serving more than 200 residents. The campus has been called “an oasis in our southwest desert” and includes an outdoor swimming pool and year-round Jacuzzi, newly remodeled library, two beauty shops, exercise room, a full activity program, and invigorating walking paths.
