REHABILITATION SERVICES

When the need for rehabilitation following a hospital stay presents itself consider admission to Royse City Health & Rehabilitation Center. Our rehabilitation gym is a large, open area which offers an interdisciplinary plan of care that meets your goals and expedites your return home.

The unique, state-of-the-art therapy program is specifically designed for each resident's needs. Our short-term rehab provides additional rehabilitation or medical care for post-hospital residents who are transitioning back to t heir homes. This program is designed to provide comprehensive inpatient care and treatments and assess the many complicated factors that need to be addressed and resolved prior to the resident's return home.

Rehabilitation services are available on a daily basis and each resident's case is assessed individually and a Plan of Care is developed. We develop a partnership with our families by involving them in the Plan of Care for their loved one.

The Royse City rehabilitation unit is able to meet the needs of the following diagnoses:

Orthopedic injuries or elective orthopedic replacements
Cardiac incidents (CVA< A-fib, CAD)
Pulmonary edema or respirator insufficiency
Multiple traumas
Post-surgical complications
Pain management
General de-conditioning
Edema
These diagnoses are addressed by physical, occupational and/or Speech therapy. Some diagnoses require a more extensive therapy plan in order for the resident to return to their prior level of function and others will only require a short stay to reach their goals.

Additional services provided at Royse City include Advanced Modality Equipment:

E-Stim Therapy Treatments (Electronic Stimulation Therapy)

Omni 3000C Ultra Sound Therapy
Megapulsell Short Wave Diathermy Treatments
These therapeutic instruments have been used to successfully treat orthopedic and neurological incidents for over two decades. These state-of-the-art modalities demonstrate the same consistent clinical effectiveness in the management of pain, muscle and circulatory dysfunctions associated with urinary incontinence, wounds, contractures, dysphasia, osteoarthritis and falls among the aging population.

Our therapy department is aggressive with the Wii game system (Wii Hab).
